once again we return to August 13, 2008 and the wedding of Joe and Jen Stevens. What a great day. I will be forever thankful to the Stevens's for the selfless and graceful way they handled this wonderful event. Here, Clifford plays a modification of his classic "Let's Hear It For Rock N' Roll," which has already been featured a few times here on the 365. I was happy to join him. There is a great bit in the beginning with Clifford screaming about how mich he loves everyone. Awesome! I agree. Then we bust into it. A slight hiccup in the beginning only makes it funnier. Enjoy Don Truesdail eating in the audience and world -class laughs of Dylan Avery and Robin Lee pop up at different moments in the tune. Dig it. Awesome. This clip (as well as the clips from the last two days int he archives) was filmed by Dylan Avery. Peace

Operation 365 - Jefferson Jay - Covers - 280 "Joy To The World" by Hoyt Axton

Yesterday, we were discussing what would be a couple of cool covers to add to the Jefferson Jay Band repertoire. Songs that are fun, upbeat, exciting, danceable, and but not TOO cheesy. Leanne, today, suggested "Joy To The World" and I thought she was right on the money. So today, I learned it and played and indeed, it was fun. This is the Three Dog Night version, not the Christmas tune. We'll see if the band assimilates it tour collective. We probably should, but either way, here for today, it was fun.

So I believe I mentioned a couple times recently, that I wrote 5 songs in 16 minutes with Leanne and Josh the other night. Leanne doesn't really want credit so the puts me in a slight quandary as to how I should accredit these number. No matter. Josh Rodriguez and Leanne Pearl helped write them in 16 minutes, while Leanne was reading, whether they like it or not. Life is a nutty adventure.
